DWBL Community Library July 2015 - poster

The July test-run is finished, and (truth be told) we only had a handful of customers. But we are convinced that it is a lovely idea and hope to get it going again very soon.

Watch this space!

During July, we will be doing a trial run of this new idea. Every Tuesday afternoon, from 3 to 4.30pm, we will set up at the Devonshire Children’s Centre with a lovely collection of books for you to browse through and borrow. Completely free, no forms, no fines.
Everyone will be able to borrow two books, and if you bring them back the next week, you can borrow another two for each return.
You can even bring in your own books for a double-up exchange – bring in one, borrow two.

All the library stock will be secondhand – donated books or charity shop purchases. If you have got any contributions in the meantime, they can be dropped off at Leaf Hall.
The main part of the Devonshire West Big Local plan is being done through the Community Grant Scheme at the moment. The library is an extra little community activity from the DWBL resident-led team, and we are always keen to hear about other ideas.
Drop in to our pop-up library… borrow a book and let’s have a chat about projects we can do together.
